Boating in Southwest Florida
For those who enjoy boating and being on the water, we can look forward to the opening of The Goodland Boat Park this Friday, August 20. The facility will include a double boat launching ramp, have parking for 75 boat trailers, spaces for 16 regular vehicles, boat slips, boat docks, an observation area, and a fishing pier all for public use. The park also has picnic space, benches, racks for your bike, restrooms and an open deck area. The park is located at the end of Palm Point Drive in Goodland.
There is no entry fee to the park. The launch fee is $5 per boat or $75 for an annual permit. The park closes at sunset.
The Goodland Boat Park will give many the opportunity to utilize this fine facility and enjoy boating, fishing and relaxing among the Ten Thousand Islands.
